David Sheldrick Animal Orphanage is a non-profit organisation, which is situated in an isolated area of Nairobi National Park. The organisation takes care of orphaned baby elephants, rhinos and other animals by a dedicated team of conservationist.

The orphanage founded by Daphne Sheldrick in memory of her late husband and environmentalist, Sheldrick who was the founder Warden of Tsavo East National Park.

The centre takes care of orphaned baby elephants, rhinos and other animals and rehabilitates them back into the wilderness after are ready to survive on their own.

The centre has become focal for elephant conservations for the last 40 years. Elephant calves orphaned by poaching from all over Tanzania are brought to the centre, where they are cared 24×7, by dedicated staffs.

The centre is open to the public each morning between 11am and 12pm every day, where they can closely see the baby elephant calves being fed and watch them play.
